Bathrooms, Bugs, and a Baby

Eight months have past since my last post. It's funny how time can slip by you like that. One minute I'm doing home projects and prepping a nursery and the next I'm juggling two kids, a job, house work, and preparing for Christmas. Seriously, what just happened?!? Oh that's right, I had a baby.

I don't know if it was my memory or the hormones that deceived me back in April when I was 9 months pregnant with high hopes of finishing the nursery, harvesting the garden, playing with Pinterest, completing two bathroom remodels, sewing countless little projects, and catching up on a few books once the baby came. I mean all babies do is sleep, right?
WRONG!
My baby didn't sleep. And when he did sleep it was on my chest while I laid in the recliner watching episode after episode of 19 Kids and Counting.

Zero projects were getting done! The nursery was full of boxes, bugs were eating what was left of my water deprived vegetables, bathrooms were sitting piles of dust and tile, and fabric was everywhere! I was exhausted. I'm still exhausted. At least at this point the baby is sleeping in a crib and we have usable bathrooms. Thank the Lord!

As exhausting as it was, 2014 was such a blessing for our family. We welcomed our second son, Beau Alan Boyer, on May 14th. The joy he has brought into our home is indescribable. I started a new job venture with Younique cosmetics (a BIG answer to prayer). We completed some home projects. All while managing to squeeze in a little family fun.

My goal this year is to continue to write about our adventures, struggles, DIY triumphs and failures, our faith, my journey with Younique, and the everyday imperfections that makes our life so wonderful! I hope you continue to join me on this journey.
