Never too old...to get a little trashy

I don't know if this is a saying or not, but it should be. You are never too old to get a little trashy. Well, at least we like to think so. We tend to get pretty excited about monster trucks and dressing up like white trash. Every year for the past three years, our friends and us go to Monster Jam in Tampa and we dress for the occasion. If you have never attended one of these events, you are missing out on some good 'ole fashion people watchin'. Florida's finest come out from the swamps, woods, farms, barns, and trailer parks to celebrate and cheer on giant trucks. What's not to love?

Our entire group (well most of our group) dress up as trashy as we can. It's a true family event, we even get the kids involved :) We have an awesome time not worrying about being the boring professionals we are every other day of the week and just let loose.I also think it's good for the kids to see their mom and dad having good clean fun as grownups. Life doesn't have to be so serious.

It's exciting to see what costumes everyone comes up with each year.  This year our fam went with an overall theme. And it just so happens that each year some lucky lady in the group is preggo. This year was my turn. Not gonna lie, I really looked forward to it. There is just something about showing off a big belly, black bra, wife beater, and boots that is invigorating. Don't get me wrong, in any other setting I wouldn't even consider this look but at this venue, I didn't think twice. Apparently no one else did either because I barely got any looks. Scary right?

So I encourage you to step out of your comfort zone, attend a redneck event, and dress a little trashy. You'll have a blast. I promise. I wonder what we will wear next year?????
